On Saturday, I had the opportunity to present a short program on scentwork to the Scottish Terrier Club of Greater Denver. I tried to keep it short but informative, and the members seemed very interested. Of course, the highlight was bringing Wager in for a short demo of containers and interiors. I set 3 hides, including one that was about 3 feet up a wall so the attendees could see how a short dog indicates a high hide. Thankfully Wager performed brilliantly and wowed them with his indications.
My hope is that one or two of the members will seek out a nosework class for their Scottie. We need more Scotties in performance events!
