WHAT IS THE AKC AGILITY COURSE TEST?

This is a snapshot of the ACT rules. For the complete regulations, FAQs, and registration information, visit http://www.akc.org/events/agility/act-program/

There are two levels of ACT events - ACT1 and ACT2. ACT1 is designed for the pre-Novice level dog to show beginning sequencing and performance skills. ACT2 requires an increased skill level.

Dogs may be entered in any jump height.

Eligibility:

  • Dogs must be 15 months or older and physically sound as described in the AKC Agility Regulations.

  • Mixed breed dogs are welcome.

  • Dogs do not have to be registered with the AKC to participate, but in order to acquire the title certificate and have the title added to the dog's record, the dog must be registered/listed with the AKC.

  • They must not have earned any AKC agility titles prior to the ACT

  • You may enter ACT1 and ACT2 on the same day. You may earn both the ACT1 and ACT2 titles on the same day - it only takes 2 qualifying scores to title in each level.
